Who is eligible to join the study?
Everyone is eligible to participate, regardless of age, diagnosis, or gender, so long as they are living within the United States. We welcome all individuals to contribute to this important research and help make a significant impact in our understanding of chronic multi-system disorders. Participation is entirely voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time.
How is the data used?
The data collected will be made accessible to the Metrodora research team, as well as outside research partners, to help us understand complex multi-system disorders. It is stored in a secure, HIPAA compliant system, and Meaningful Use Certified EDC HIEBusTM platform. The biological specimens are stored on-site, at Metrodora Institute, in a secure room with limited access.
How does this study improve care?
Our focus is to use methods such as genetic sequencing and immune profiling to return results to patients. We aim to reclassify diseases based on what’s happening biologically and create different clusters of patients that may respond positively to more specific treatments. This study is a large-scale effort to help the industry find the right groups of patients that are most likely to see positive impact from a drug based on their biology—thereby increasing the chances of success for clinical trials.
